Hey friends!
So a few people asked about the rascal who took over my pillows the other day.
Actually there are two. Two rascals. Two furry teddy bear dogs who look sweet and fluffy and cute.
Do not be fooled.
See the black one? The one with the face that says, Hey Mom, can I have a treat?
He’s a troublemaker.
You may have heard about the Great Bunny Caper of June ’21.
If not, it goes something like this:
- Mom sees weeds, decides to garden. Dog is sniffing around the yard. Mom uncovers a bunny under a drain pipe.
- Dog sees Bunny. Sees Mom’s worried look.
- Challenge on.
- Dog chases bunny. Mom chases dog.
- Mom steps into a hole. There is screaming, which dog ignores.
- Captures bunny.
- More screaming.
- And now, six months later, Dog sits on the sofa and wonders why Mom has to have knee replacement surgery.
See, I told you. Don’t let those sweet eyes fool you. Rascal.
So, next week is a BIIIIIIG week.
Not only am I going bionic on Wednesday, but there are TWO Susan May Warren books hitting the shelves!
Okay, technically ONE. The other is actually a David James Warren book.
Lemme ‘splain.
Heart of Stone, book 6 of The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone releases on Tuesday 11/23. It’s still on sale, for the preorder price of $3.99, BTW. I LOVED how this final book turned out (and the reviews of a few of our prereaders!)
AND THEN…Then, is the Epic Holiday Reunion of one of my favorite families—the Christiansens, in Have Yourself a Christiansen Christmas. I really love this story because it’s about our happy endings…and how they might look different than we suppose. I think it’s the perfect holiday read (if I do say so myself). AND, it’s available not only in e-book and print, but in HARDBACK, (and with a beautiful dust jacket) –the perfect holiday gift!
And if you haven’t caught up on the rebooted Deep Haven series, check it out here!
I hope you have a joyous Thanksgiving. I’ll be sitting in bed, icing my knee, catching up on my TBR pile (and maybe binge-watching Cobra Kai season 4). I suppose it’s one way to get out of making Thanksgiving Dinner!
XOXO!
Susie May
