You know, every time I come to house-sit/dog-sit for Susie, it seems that I get caught up in a whirlwind of craziness:
- A horde of houseflies appears overnight
- A delightful little peppering of hornet larvae shows up on the deck
- Frogs in the basement
- Mice in the ceiling
- A fire alarm that waits for you to be dead asleep and then goes off for 30 seconds for literally no reason and then never goes off again.
I don’t know why…but I feel like maybe I shouldn’t stay too long in this house…
Which is why JoJo and I will be heading back down to Iowa bright and early tomorrow morning after Susie and Andrew touch back down in Minnesota! I think, as much as Susie enjoys her yummy treats while on vacation…
…she’ll be ready for some familiar food after trying this Australian delicacy:
🤣 Susie and Andrew trying out Vegemite 🤣
And more importantly, I think she’ll be glad to get back so she can keep writing her next secret project! You’re going to love this one. 🙂
In the meantime, One Last Stand just arrived at all non-Amazon retailers, and it’s still available in the Susan May Warren Store, so if you haven’t had a chance, you can pick it up now before it heads to Amazon on October 8!
And here’s a little something else for you, just because:
Okay, love ya, Byyee!
P.S. If you’re looking for a little change of pace, Lacy Williams’s A Convenient Heart (book #1 in the brand new Wind River Mail-Order Brides series), is available now on Kindle Unlimited! I absolutely love Lacy, and I think you will too. Check it out below:
Except the Jack who steps off the train can’t be the same man who wrote her letters. That Jack was a steady, mild-mannered businessman. This Jack is an enigma with flashing eyes and a pirate’s smile. He’s too charming, too keen, too perfect to be real.
Jack wasn’t looking for a bride, only an escape from the danger chasing him. But the longer he stays in this small Wyoming town, the more he wants to stay. How can he, when his intended doesn’t even know his real name?
