The quote that changed me

Rel Mollet Books, Good Stuff

So…today is my birthday. I am a little strange. I like to look back on my year and see what God has done, and pray over my next year and ask for guidance, and impact and the ability to bless others.

The past couple weeks, I’ve been reading a great book about how to create a financial legacy for my family. But as I’ve gotten older, my desire is to leave a legacy in all ways—family, church, my writing—and I came upon this quote from the book Building Your Money Machine, by Mel H. Abraham.

“Every moment we have that we can impact someone’s life is a moment that creates legacy…”

I love this line. Suddenly I didn’t have to try so hard to make an impact. I was already doing it by the small things I did every day. (Or at least I hope so!)

I think that’s why I love writing about families, and the simple, every day way that they impact each other’s lives. And I especially love writing about Moms. I love the moms I’ve created, from Ingrid Christiansen to Jenny Marshall, to my newest mom, Emily “Mama Em” Kingston. They live their lives, quietly impacting those around them.

I’ve been quietly (okay, not so quietly) writing books for 20 years. And last week, I published my 100th book. (Thank you to all who wrote such kind words of celebration!) I can’t believe it. But small things add up when you persevere.

I’m having an epic celebration this month –

Go HERE to sign up for a epic prize! (There are lots!)

And, if you haven’t read book #100…meet JACK. And his Mom (and the rest of the Kingstons.)

And remember, today matters. Your life matters. The small things you do matter. They add up to impact.

Thank you for your support, one book at a time. It’s made an impact in my life, too. 😊

Warmly,

P.S – My friend LISA PHILLIPS has a new book releasing TOMORROW. Another book in her best-selling Brand of Justice series. Such a great series—I’m addicted!

Up against an enemy unlike anything she’s ever faced.
A simple recon mission in New York City brings a terrible truth to light: their enemy knows every secret Kenna has been hiding. She doesn’t want to accompany Preston to the UK, but doing so might give her the answers she’s been looking for. About everything. All her friends seem to think it’s inevitable she’s going, and when she’s given information about her mother…it just might be.

Her investigation reveals a history she’s never known.
Kenna’s case shines a light into dark parts of her past as she travels to the last place she’d have thought was connected to her history. Her faith and her loyalty to her friends are put to the test. She finds herself with new allies, all alone and on the run, chasing an enemy that could cost her everything she’s found. And the future she wants with Jax.

Now it’s up to her brand of justice to solve this.
