What a great week. I spent it with oooooold friends (we’ve been friends for 50+ years!)

We had deep talks about life and lessons and gratitude…the kind of getaway that helps you take a good look at your life and see how God has walked with you every step of the way.
We used these cool conversation cards at night, to get to some great discussion.

God is good. Even in suffering, even in challenges, even in stressful seasons. He loves us. And today, Good Friday proves this out. He saw our doomed state and said…I will fix this.
Then he sent His Son, our Savior to redeem us, and his Holy Spirit to sustain us.
And sometimes it’s just a good idea to sit with people who’ve journeyed with you, and can savor that with you.
So yes, it’s a Good Day, (even if is a sad day. Sad doesn’t necessarily mean Bad, right?)

I am off to make sweet potatoes and put a pork loin in the smoker for our Good Friday dinner. I hope you have some celebratory plans this weekend…even if it’s just a moment alone, to ponder and savor the great gift of salvation.
