So I jumped on a plane…

Rel Mollet Books, Family

Happy Friday! Free book in the PS. 😊

BUT first, it’s been a bit of a crazy week. You may or may not have noticed that there was no Tuesday note.

That’s because my sweet daughter-in-law went into labor on Sunday afternoon. I missed the initial phone call, and about 30 mins later, my daughter called me and said…”Are you on a plane?”

See, I’m that grandma who gets on a plane and flies over to greet her new grandbabies (I went to Italy once!). So, forty-five minutes later, I was off to the airport.

I arrived in Minnesota at 1am, Monday to meet said conspiratorial daughter plus her two beauties for what we termed a “Babycation,” while we waited for our newest addition.

Meanwhile, my daughter-in-law and oldest son suffered in the hospital for two more days. (Baby boy Warren was born at 5am on Wednesday morning. DIL gets the prize for the Toughest Mudder. 😊)

Meanwhile, there was more fun.

I finally got to hold Mr. Precious the night before I flew out Thursday morning.

So, it’s Friday. And I’m not looking at the pile of work I need to get done. (but, I DID manage to finish my Lost in Alaska with Friends book and am now in the final editing stages).

But it was a fantastically, abrupt, fun week…you never know what you’ll find when you impulsively jump on a plane, right?

Something my hero, Doyle discovers when he jumps on a plane to a Caribbean island, to help out at an orphange. I’ll bet he never saw that tangle with a local gang, a hike through a mountain, a rescue at sea and a possible lost treasure comin’ his way. OR, to fall in love with his rival, bossy Co-Director, Tia Pepper. But’s it’s paradise and anything can happen, right? 😊

The book is available at your favorite (but not Amazon) retailers until next Friday, so grab it now, if you’re Nook, KOBO, Apple or BookFunnel reader. (and it’s still at the launch price on the Susan May Warren Store!)

NOTE – at the on the Susan May Warren Store, when you grab Doyle, you get the JACK audio book at ½ off.

Just in case you gotta get on a plane and go somewhere. 😊

BTW, the winner of last week’s contest is…Mindy Houng!

*and the answer is the amazing Jace Jacobsen, from the book It Had to Be You!*

That’s all. The fun is gone. Back to work for me. But you—you have a beautiful weekend!

Warmly,

P.S. Have you met my friend, Laura Conaway yet? She’s an amazing new Romantic Suspense author, who has real writing chops. She wrote a couple fantastic books for Sunrise Publishing, in Lisa Phillip’s world, and she has this lovely freebie if you’re interested in checking out her voice. I think you’ll love her!

Felicia Rae is a successful adjunct college professor enjoying the beautiful life she’s built. But one night is all it takes for her world to come crashing down. Waking up unable to remember the events of the night before, she discovers someone has ransacked her apartment and left an unsettling note—with a promise to return. As the killer closes in, Felicia must work to recall the hidden memories that hold the key to unlocking the person’s identity. But when she discovers the truth, she’s not prepared for what it will cost her. Will she be able to look past the pain and declare the goodness of God even in her bleakest moments?
Hudson Taylor is an acclaimed sketch artist for the metro D.C. police force. It’s been five years since an accident stripped him of the life he once dreamed of and now he’s left with grueling chronic pain as a reminder. When he’s summoned to produce a composite drawing of an intruder, his past collides with his present when he realizes his former girlfriend, and high school sweetheart, Felicia, is the attacker’s target. All the evidence points to a serial killer but will Hudson be able to put the pieces of the case together fast enough to stop the killer from snuffing out the life of the woman he loved and lost once?
Hudson and Felicia are good at pushing each other away, but now their lives depend on working together. Against all odds, will they find a way to sacrifice their pride and set aside their hurts? And are the broken pieces beyond mending or can they discover a way back to the love they once shared and redeem the shadows?
