Warren Christmas Cookie Contest 2012…the Big Winner

Susan Just for Fun

Our family has an obsession with competition.  Winning, to be exact.

It’s why we have football issues, why we have to paint our face and go into a weekly depression every Sunday. (Except for LAST week, because, um, the Vikings WON!)

It has even carried over into our family celebrations.  Like, this fall when we had our Warren family game of touch football.  Or, rather, Oops! I didn’t mean to tackle you Football.  Someone who shall not be named (my daughter) tackled me so hard I think I broke my foot.

I’m just starting to walk again without pain. (Next year I dibs her for my team – you’ll see why in a moment…)

Anyway, the Warren family has two major awards every year.  Our annual Football Pool and….the Great Warren Christmas Cookie Contest. Last year….

Christmas Cookie Contest Winner 2010Of course…Mom took home the trophy.

So, you can imagine….the only goal of my four offspring was…

To beat their mother.  Apparently they didn’t care WHO won…as long as it wasn’t me.

This year’s theme was, “Favorite Christmas Tradition.”

Here were some of the entries: (They have to be made with frosting, but not necessarily edible)

As you can see, the competition was tough…but there was one clear champ who broke through and made a run for the goal line… (I’d like to note here that she used a BIBLE VERSE in her essay…a clear attempt to influence the juding panel!) I told her to use a Custom writing service but she refused.

Congratulations, Sarah, on your glorious win!

Signed…No more Mrs. Nice Girl.  You’re on my radar, baby.  I’ll get you next year, my pretty!

Merry Christmas, Friends!
