Posting on a Tuesday today! I promise I have a good reason for it (pictures to come next week), but let’s just say that a certain package of joy and goodness showed up in the world, and I had to drop everything and get on a plane. Stay tuned for those adorable pictures in the next newsletter!
Did you say Frog Legs?
So, I’ve been in Florida for two weeks now and guess what? I’ve only seen the sun twice! Went to the beach twice too, but the second time I had to wear a stocking cap because it was unexpectedly cold. I’m not sure, but I think the cold has followed me.
On a positive note,
I found the hoarders of the snow…and what I’m going to do about it. ❄️🔎
Okay, seriously? We leave Minnesota and the next day they get a blizzard? I missed the magic of the flurries and wind while curled up in front of my fireplace reading a book? (I also missed the grumbles of my husband as he bundled up to plow the driveway so maybe not such a bad thing…?)
Apparently,
What to do when there’s no snow? (and maybe some oversharing of too many pictures)
First, there’s this. Yes, that’s a picture of my very sad backyard without snow.
Have I mentioned it’s January? It rained on Christmas Day in Minnesota. Just saying that if I’m gonna spend Christmas in Minnesota I really feel that there should be snow.
In usual Warren fashion however, we did manage to eke out some fun.
Help us settle this family debate!
One week until the fun starts in my house and I can hardly wait! I’ve sent out a family poll today on what activities they wanted to do. This is our first Christmas in seven years that our entire family will be home for Christmas. (For some reason, my children love to travel and live overseas.
Never Mind the Toes!
I’m coming to you today from sunny Arizona! It’s a little bit crazy but I’m wearing sandals again. I clearly need a pedicure.
I’m hanging out with my business partner and good friend Lindsay Harrel. If you haven’t read her books, check out her website here. Right now, we’re planning all the fun things that we’re going to do over at Sunrise Publishing next year.
All the Thanksgiving fun!
Happy Thanksgiving! Not sure if I’m going to get a Friday e-mail out so I wanted to shoot you a note today. I mean really, who looks at our emails on Friday? Except if there’s deals. I’m all about the Black Friday Deals!
Last weekend I scooted down to Iowa to hang out with my daughter who is expecting.
What’s under the Evergreen?
All right, I’m ready for snow. And turkey. Speaking of, I found these guys in my yard this week. 😀
So, I’m heading to my daughter’s house this week to help her decorate the baby’s room (Grandchild arriving in Jan!) but on the way, I’m going to dive into a Christmas novella. I have a small pile of my favorites— (one of my absolute favorites is by Dave Barry: The Shepherd,
A little time travel . . .
I’m coming to you from warm and sunny Dallas today. We are gathering together for a family wedding. It’s for my nephew Seth, who lived with us a while back when he was a teenager. This is a great picture of him playing football with my son, Noah.
Seth is the taller one.
Just who might show up??
I’m back in Minnesota this week and I’m catching up with all the fun news from last week. Namely, I want to say thank you for this!
It’s so fun to get the little orange sticker and I’m deeply grateful for all your support in picking up this novel. Thank you for all the great reviews as well.
