Truth is, I love my garden. Even when we lived up north, I had a nice house garden, with flowers that usually survived the winter. When we moved to this house, the garden was one massive juniper plant that overtook everything with its wild bristly branches. I tore it out, and decided not to remove the thousands and thousands of tons of rock around the house,
It’s about time…
Are you as ready for summer as I am? It’s been a fabulous few weeks celebrating my son’s wedding but I am ready for some downtime!
One thing I love about summer is getting out the Corvette. We took it out for a buzz last weekend…so much fun.
I also love lining up my summer reading and other fun projects and events.
The Long Awaited…
You know that feeling you have when something you’ve waited for for a very long time finally happens? You’re so overwhelmed with joy you can hardly speak. That’s how I felt this weekend watching my oldest son marry the girl of his dreams. It was a glorious event, a beautiful day, with lots of tears,
Just when you thought the fun was over…
This is an epic picture I took from the plane window right before it touched down in Atlanta. It was almost as exciting getting home as it was for the last 2 weeks traveling around Italy.
We boarded in Rome, but because of an air traffic control strike in Paris we set on the tarmac for over an hour in Rome,
Trekking the Epic World
I hope you’re enjoying your European adventure with Ned as much as I’ve been enjoying my Italian vacation. Sure, your adventures may have been more on the suspenseful side…but what did you expect? A relaxing stroll through Florence?
Me and Drew having a relaxing stroll through Florence.
All joking aside, I am so thankful for the kind reviews already pouring in for Ned and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to get their hands on the book when it releases on Amazon and other retailers and paperback on 6/6!
Adventure is calling!
So, I’ve been head down, writing hard to get to a mini-deadline on book 5 of the Minnesota Marshalls (CREED!) before I pack my bags and head off to a quick, but desperately needed, vacay in Italy! This is how far I’ve gotten in my packing…
I’m so excited to hang out in Italy again—I know we went last year,
So long and thanks for all the fish!
Drew and I took our last walk on the beach today. Well, not our last walk, hopefully, but we’re headed north this weekend as we hear the snow is gone and it’s safe to enter Minnesota again. (But we’re not holding our breath. We know Minnesota…)
So, here they are—the last sad pictures of our daily walk on the beach.
Something I don’t usually do.
Hello from the beach!
This is my sweet daughter (who is also an author, BTW – find her books here and on Kindle Unlimited) a couple weeks ago on the beach. It’s spring break here, and the beaches are now packed…which is a great time to work on a novel!
Update on Fraser and more fun stuff!
Look who made it out of her writing cave long enough to see the sun! That’s right, this girl! I’ve been hard at work finishing up the next book in the Minnesota Marshalls series and I think I’ve earned a quick walk on the beach with my hubby.
Speaking of the Minnesota Marshalls,
Merry Christmas from Susie May!
I know you’re probably rolling out pies, or cleaning the house, or in my husband’s case, making gourmet ramen noodles for his sons who love spicy food…
And, the puzzling has begun.
Which means that we’re all about to settle in for a lovely weekend.
But,
