Whew, what a whirlwind these past few days have been! I looked at my schedule on Tuesday and realized I only have ONE week to write my current book. Eeek! So, I sat down, hashed out the plot, and started writing! And while I didn’t finish the entire book in 48 hours like I planned,
The adventure continues!
It’s Sarah again, tuning in to give you the recap on Susie’s fabulous Spain adventure!
Days 1 and 2:
Susie and Andrew arrived in Barcelona. They tooled around the city in a Tuk Tuk, visiting places like the La Familia Sagrada, the Gothic quarter, and even the Olympic Village (very fitting for the week leading into the 2024 Olympics—which I’m probably too excited about).
We call this fun?
I hope you had a fantastic Independence Day! Up here in beautiful Minnesota, it rained. And rained. And rained. We did have a brief lull in the action from 9:00 to 10:00 PM and at that moment every single person in Minnesota who likes to shoot fireworks in their backyard simultaneously lit up the sky like the bombing over London.Read More
Minds on Fire! 🔥
Just dropping a quick post today—I’m spending time with five brilliant authors this week whom I affectionately call “The Minds.”  It’s a group of super brilliant women. (I’m still trying to figure out why I’m included… Oh, wait, I remember now. It’s because I’m in Florida  and I feed them. Just kidding—they cook too! )
Anyway,
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Posting on a Tuesday today! I promise I have a good reason for it (pictures to come next week), but let’s just say that a certain package of joy and goodness showed up in the world, and I had to drop everything and get on a plane. Stay tuned for those adorable pictures in the next newsletter!Â
What to do when there’s no snow? (and maybe some oversharing of too many pictures)
First, there’s this. Yes, that’s a picture of my very sad backyard without snow.
Have I mentioned it’s January? It rained on Christmas Day in Minnesota. Just saying that if I’m gonna spend Christmas in Minnesota I really feel that there should be snow.
In usual Warren fashion however, we did manage to eke out some fun.
Just who might show up??
I’m back in Minnesota this week and I’m catching up with all the fun news from last week. Namely, I want to say thank you for this!
It’s so fun to get the little orange sticker and I’m deeply grateful for all your support in picking up this novel. Thank you for all the great reviews as well.
What’s the main thing?
Happy Friday!
I’m writing from beautiful Napa, California, on our annual scoot out to visit our favorite wineries with our dear friends from Minnesota.
I’m not hurting in the area of cheese, either.
But most of all, I’m mulling over my next book…which I hope to start when I get back.
Just a little sneak peek…
I am about twenty pages from the end of my book, right in the middle of the thrilling ending, but I wanted to hit pause to say thank you to everyone who has picked up CREED this week from the Susan May Warren Fiction store! If you haven’t gotten your hands on the early access of this finale book yet and would like to get it,
What’s for dinner, and who is showing up?
I started writing a new book this week. I’m two chapters in and I’m already staying up late at night thinking through all the exciting things that are going to happen. I love the thrill of discovering new characters and taking them on a journey. I usually have everything all plotted out before I start but often there are blank spaces and I love to see how God fills those blanks—and the entire story—with truth.
