Whew, what a whirlwind these past few days have been! I looked at my schedule on Tuesday and realized I only have ONE week to write my current book. Eeek! So, I sat down, hashed out the plot, and started writing! And while I didn’t finish the entire book in 48 hours like I planned,
Oh my. Really, Susie?
This is actual footage of me today.
This is what happens when you go to NYC for four days and have to see EVERYTHING (or when you are married to Mr. Warren, who likes to get his money’s worth).
Day 1: 10.2 miles
Day 2: 7 miles
Day 3.
The secret to story magic
My house is quiet once again. Alas, all my people have gone back north, which means that in the silence, my characters have started to chatter, getting ready to throw themselves out of my brain/heart and onto the page.
I am not unaware of how blessed I am to have this job—I get to make up awesome people,
All the Thanksgiving fun!
Happy Thanksgiving! Not sure if I’m going to get a Friday e-mail out so I wanted to shoot you a note today. I mean really, who looks at our emails on Friday? Except if there’s deals. I’m all about the Black Friday Deals!
Last weekend I scooted down to Iowa to hang out with my daughter who is expecting.
A glimpse at the mess…
I’m at it again.
Spent this week plotting a new book. I’m currently working on IRIS, book 4 in the Minnesota Marshalls series, and oh, this is a fun one. The little hint I’ll give you is that I’m using this book for research…
Currently, the story looks like this:
Which then translates to this:
But I’m getting WAY ahead of myself because next up is book #2 in the series – JONAS.
So, I did a thing…
I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving (and if you don’t celebrate the American Thanksgiving holiday, I hope you had a nice Thursday. I well remember our days living in Russia where we’d eat chicken thighs for dinner while the rest of Russia went on with their lives!)
We are home, playing games and puzzling.
When you’re grateful…
Can’t believe the month of August is over! What. Happened? Although in MN, we have One more Epic Weekend before the school year starts, in IOWA, where Bubby lives, her school started two weeks ago.
So we had one last week of Summer Fun at MayMay’s house. We went to the zoo, the park,
It doesn’t have to be over…
How is your summer going? Going anywhere fun on vacation?
Personally, I can’t believe our epic trip to Europe is almost over! We started on May 13th in Paris, travelled France, flew to Sicily, Italy to hang out with our new grandson and his parents, and then continued the fun with a tour of the island.
Heads up for the Great Pumpkin!
Happy Great Pumpkin weekend!
When I was a kid, Halloween was a sort of epic event where my father took us trick-or-treating and we played the game of how much candy we could get. (My mother then rationed out our candy for months—one piece in our lunch. Just to keep us from full out gluttony.
