Surprise! It’s me!
Right now, Susie is currently packing up her suburban for the long trek back to Florida, so I’m stepping in for the day. Well…me and the new friend Santa dropped off for me.
Meet Gerald.
Gerald is my judgement turkey. He sees everything, and he does not approve. Gerald watches from the corner of my office and keeps me from goofing off and getting into trouble when I’m supposed to be working. I need a Gerald in my life.
I could have used Gerald the day the Warren family went Christmas tree shopping this year because we really got into some shenanigans.
See, I love Christmas. If you didn’t know this about me, now you do. When I graduated highschool, I had a Christmas themed graduation party. I start listening to Christmas music around July. My tree goes up November 1st. I know, I know, those are some bold choices, but I can’t help it.
And when I get with these guys…
We can’t be stopped. So when we rolled up to the tree lot on 12/22 this year I got a little carried away…
For reference, this is what our christmas tree usually looks like:
Cute. Well proportioned. Appropriately sized. Fits inside the Christmas room….
And this is the behemoth we picked out.
We had to move furniture.
Here it is with my husband and brother bolting it to the wall because our tree stand wasn’t powerful enough to handle its Christmas spirit.
If Gerald had been there, there probably wouldn’t be holes in Susie‘s wall right now.
Anyway, the holidays are finally over and it’s back to work for me….womp womp. Luckily that just means more quality time with Susie! YAY! And as our first project of the year, we threw together a little something for you guys.
I present to you the alternate discreet cover of Jack, book 1 of the Minnesota Kingstons! This bad boy will be available exclusively in the Susan May Warren store, so keep an eye out for an announcement when it goes live.
In the meantime, you can read the ebook version of Jack right now on the Susan May Warren store or your favorite retailer, or wait until next friday to grab it on Amazon.
Alright, that’s all I’ve got for you today, I hope your Christmas was filled with love and family.
Love,
