We made the Big Trek up north this week. 3 days in the car and Hubs and I engaged in ALL the epic discussions that needed addressing.
We managed to solve all the world’s problems, finish our Christmas shopping, planned the 2025 house projects and engaged in a spirited discussion on what kind of car we should buy, since our cars are on their laaaast legs. (Yes, we’re the people who dive our cars until they slowly disintegrate on the highway)

I can’t wait to have the entire tribe home for Christmas in a couple weeks!

Oh, you’re going to love Jack! He’s the oldest of the Kingston family siblings, the mysterious one who went on a walkabout a few years back after the epic family fight (maybe they were in a car, driving for 23 hours…) that Boo talked about in One Last Shot.
Yep, he’s back for Boo’s wedding, and there will be SPARKS! Not to mention the one girl he wants to forget (but can’t) is a bridesmaid…and needs his help. *sigh*
It’s a second chance, one who got away, boy next door, we have HISTORY sort of story with lots of redemption and witty banter and a missing person that Jack has to find…(because he’s, you know, a TRACKER. Cue Justin Hartley and the new CBS drama!)
More, you’ll meet another fabulous Minnesota family, (and maybe see old friends!) I just know you’ll love the Kingstons as much as I do.

We made it home in time to attend the University of Northwestern Christmas Festival, and listen to our niece, who sang in the Choir.
There was no talking. Just listening. And maybe that’s the way it should be this Christmas. Listening for all the joy, the wonder, the gifts that God has given us…Like a Hubs who will drive for 23 hours and let you babble on about budgets and work plans…and still say he loves you when you arrive at your destination.
