Are you as ready for summer as I am? It’s been a fabulous few weeks celebrating my son’s wedding but I am ready for some downtime!
One thing I love about summer is getting out the Corvette. We took it out for a buzz last weekend…so much fun.
I also love lining up my summer reading and other fun projects and events. Of course we’ll be working on the house (hello baseboards!) and I’m adding some plants to the landscaping. But I also have a lineup of excellent books I’m going to read.
One particular book I’m super looking forward to is a trip back to Deep Haven in a new spinoff series called the Fox Family series. Book one, How Sweet It Is, is written by the amazing author Andrea Christenson and it’s about one of the heroes who’s always hanging around Deep Haven but has never had a limelight. His name is Sammy Johnson and if you’re a reader of the DH series you’ll remember that in Hanging By a Moment he was in a terrible car accident hauling lumber and had his legs broken. So we’re catching up with Sammy and we’re seeing what’s going on in Deep Haven and we’re meeting some new friends.
I just love the cover!
Here’s the blurb:
Full disclosure — I had a hand in editing and helping shape the story, so it has a touch of Susan May Warren in it but really the story is all Andrea’s and I’m so proud of her! I think you’ll love this book as much as I do. It comes out on Tuesday, June 20, in our Sunrise Publishing Store (and you can preorder it on all other platforms for later release dates)!
I also can’t wait to listen to Ned in audio! I love my narrator, Adam. He’s so talented in bringing these books to life. It just released in the audible store and is also found on the Susan May Warren Store.
Thank you to everyone who’s read Ned and left great reviews. I’m so grateful. I’m loving this series and I’m working hard on book five. It’s going to be a fun ride as we return to Creed, Imani, Fraser and Pippa, and spend time in Lauchtenland where there may or may not be some serious trouble happening.
But before we can get there, we have to bring on stage Iris and Hudson.
I love this story because Iris is living out one of my secret dreams — being an American football referee. She’s currently working in Europe, so again she’s living my dream life. But it’s not so dreamy when trouble finds her and the only person she can trust is a handsome but stubborn wide receiver. I think you’ll love Hudson, he’s half Australian so there’s that. Think York, but in a football jersey, and maybe not such a dangerous past. He’s an awesome hero!
Iris releases in July on the Susan May Warren store so you can pre-order there to get it early or all other retailers at later dates.
So, what’s on your calendar this summer? And what’s at the top of your reading list?
Have a fantastic June weekend. May there be steaks on the grill, fire in the pit, marshmallows roasting and lots of stargazing.
Warmly,
P.S. Not sure where to start with the Marshall family? My suggestion is to start with Knox. But here is a cool graphic to show you the reading order to keep up with the ongoing plots.
