You know that scene in Lord of the Rings when Frodo collapses on the side of the volcano, the weight of the ring finally too much for him to take? The scene were Sam steps in and says his iconic line, “I can’t carry it for you. But I can carry you!” (If not, here’s a link to the scene, cuz it’s amazing.)
Well…Susie’s a little like Frodo right now…
As we speak, Susie is attempting to write an ENTIRE book, start to finish, in 48 hours. Why, you ask? Because her schedule is literally packed down to the minute. Yesterday, she read, edited, and wrote editorial letters for 2 entire Sunrise Publishing books. And she’s got to start writing another book next week. And after that, she’s heading to Australia to be the keynote speaker at a fancy conference. So I thought, just this once, I’d step in and pull a Sam.

What is this book she’s writing? Well, I’ll give you a hint…If you’ve been reading the Chasing Fire: Montana series this summer, you’re going to be very happy with this project. 😉 That’s all you’re getting from me, lest I get a slap on the hand from the production manager over at Sunrise Publishing (that’s also me. I wear a lot of hats).
But don’t worry, Susie may be on Mount Doom right now, her poor little fingers cramping as she writes like a madwoman, but she’ll be back in the Shire soon.
In the meantime, I thought everyone needed to know that the last book of Chasing Fire Montana, Fireproof, written by Susie herself, is available right now in the Sunrise Shop! And if you haven’t read the entire series yet, let me tell you, people are loving it!
