Just who might show up??

Rel Mollet Books, Family, Food and Drink, Games

I’m back in Minnesota this week and I’m catching up with all the fun news from last week. Namely, I want to say thank you for this!

It’s so fun to get the little orange sticker and I’m deeply grateful for all your support in picking up this novel. Thank you for all the great reviews as well. Super fun to see that people are enjoying it.

I also got a great question in response to last week’s newsletter and I thought it would be fun to answer.

>>When you write books featuring characters from past books, did you plan that far ahead to do so?<<

The answer is yes and no.

Picture me, strolling around the scenic landscapes of my story settings, pondering, “Who’s hiding in these charming nooks? A daring pilot, a sly private investigator, or maybe a passionate chef?” The possibilities are endless, and oh-so-deliciously intriguing! My latest brainchild, set in the gorgeous wilderness of Alaska has some familiar faces from Sky King Ranch and the Montana Rescue team popping in.

I don’t know about you, but I love seeing old friends. So when old friends walk into a new story, it makes me want to go back and read their old story again. Or at least find out what they’re up to now.

Now, for a fun little game! 🎲 Picture this: You have the power to summon any character from the past to star in my upcoming book. Who would you pick? Head over here and jot down your choice. Not only will your favorite character get a shot at a comeback, but you’ll also be entered into a drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card! 🎁 How’s that for an exciting plot twist? So, put on your thinking caps and let’s create some literary magic together! 🎩✨

Now, for some travel pictures! Turn off the lights, grab some popcorn and let the slide show begin. (I’ve just aged myself, but who remembers watching slides from our parents’ vacations?)

Vineyards in Alexander Valley (Sonoma County)
Private tasting and lunch at Progeny winery with our wine buddies, Steve and Paula
Game night and Charcuteries table (BTW, we had to censor some of the cards from those two “talking” games, so if you pick them up, be aware!)

Next week, I have a fun book recommendation for you! In the meantime, I’m off to a wedding!

Have a fantastic weekend!

P.S. If you’re looking for a fun read in November that will bring you back to summer and romance and camp memories, I highly recommend Rachel Russell’s new book, It’s Your Love. It’s out now in the Sunrise Shop and is simply a delightful read!
