So, first things first.
I’m a grandma. Again. It’s so fantastic.
And the best part is that right now, I’m in Italy with my son, Pete and his beautiful wife, Precious, cuddling my adorable grandson, Paxten Kevwe Warren.
Cool name, right? That’s because his middle name is a tribal name from Nigeria, the Uhrobo tribe, where his mother is from. Pax is the sweeeeetest baby! He is a cuddler, and is rarely fussy. (Precious is also a great mom!) Andrew and I have the late night shift, which gives me lots of time to pray over him and sing to him. I’m not sure I can leave Italy!
But yes, we’ll eventually(maybe) come home, where we are continuing our remodel in Florida and I’m working on a fun surprise for you in August. In the meantime…
I also have a new baby. It’s called Sunburst and hits the shelves tomorrow (which means you have one day left to preorder!!)
And what is so fun, is that the setting of my newest novel, (along with Alaska) is…NIGERIA!!
Can I tell you that this book was REALLY fun to write—because my sweet daughter-in-law helped me with my research. It was so fun to get on zoom with her and quiz her about her traditions, her favorite foods, her memories. We designed a traditional Nigerian wedding together for the book, and she was instrumental in getting the plot right. (all mistakes are mine!)
I hope you love it as much as I do. I’m so grateful for some of the great reviews coming in!
