So, as you heard on Tuesday, I was deep, deep, deep into the final chapters of the final book in the Minnesota Kingston’s series.
I love this series. It’s based on the hymn And Can It Be, That I Should Gain (by Charles Wesley) about God’s amazing love, and how we are not only set free from sin and death, but are also made new, to walk in light and joy, because we are alive, without condemnation.
But so often, we walk in the chains of lies, right? Even as born-again Christians.
On Tuesday, as Sarah penned that fun newsletter, I was staring at my cursor, struggling. It had taken me a rare and frustrating 6 hours to write 3000 words (which, for me, is a slug’s pace). So, in desperation I said…Lord, I’m going to need words. Inspiration. Actually, if you could just show up and write for me, I’d be super down with that.
And right then, on the radio came this song…

The lyrics are powerful. Humbling. Inspiring. And even as I write this now (and listening again) I am moved by the Holy Spirit with the power of it. The truth is I am my Father’s child…and I am truly loved!
And words showed up.
Not long afterwards, my daughter called me and I got to play “so big!” (remember that?) with my granddaughter, over zoom.
|
(Ignore the crazy grandma—that’s the lengths we go to in order to play with our distant grandchildren, right?)
Isn’t she a doll? (My daughter sneakily grabbed this shot. )
Oh, and for those who are wondering, I spent most of the last week on THIS:

This is the current status of the porch project.

I’m hopping on a plane today to see that cute little “So Big” girl, her beautiful big sister, and my amazing daughter, and then off to a mastermind weekend to work on a new project. I can’t wait to see what hubs cooks up on the porch project while I’m gone!
Stay tuned…
I want to leave you with one last thought. I saw this on Instagram and it really hit home as I finished the final scene (so far…there may be a couple lingering in my head).
It is Finished. Watch the reel here.

But in summary…The words of Jesus on the cross, in the original Greek meant three amazing things… Our debt of sin was paid in full, our judgement sentence completed, and the spiritual war over life and death was won. Bam.
Now that’s a true Happily Ever After ending.
Have a fantastic weekend!
XO!
