Whew, what a whirlwind these past few days have been! I looked at my schedule on Tuesday and realized I only have ONE week to write my current book. Eeek! So, I sat down, hashed out the plot, and started writing! And while I didn’t finish the entire book in 48 hours like I planned, I did get all the way to the final two chapters. I’d say that’s pretty good!
So I decided to reward myself with a much-needed trip to the Minnesota State Fair—my happy place. Who doesn’t love fair food and cows?
I, of course, got a little bit of everything. Corn dogs?
Check.
Ice cream?
You know it.
And of course, I had to try the new item this year—Australian battered potatoes. Ohhh my word, they were delicious!
Speaking of Australia, I’ll be heading that way in just a few short weeks to speak at the Omega Writers Conference in a few weeks! I’m so excited to connect with readers and writers from Down Under. If you happen to be in the area, I’d love to see you there!
And since we’re talking about exciting news, I have a special treat for you—my most recent book, One Last Promise, is available in audiobook format and we’re still running our audiobook bundle sale! Buy One Last Promise and get One Last Shot and One Last Chance 50% off. So if you can’t make it to the fair and you need a little something to fill your weekend plans, be sure to grab the audiobooks before the sale ends.
I hope you’re all having a wonderful end to your summer. Soak up these last warm days, and maybe treat yourself to an Australian battered potato for me!
Now to finish those last two chapters…
Warmly,
