I spoke to a women’s group a couple weeks ago, and the theme was “Whiter than Snow.” We have an abundance of snow here in Northern Minnesota, but I struggled to really get my head around this topic, and this verse, and how it relates to Christmas.
The truth was, I was feeling overwhelmed and blocked.

Peter, my senior running back son, #33, scored 8 touchdowns in one late season football game. He wasn’t trying to run up the score – it was just a rainy night and we couldn’t pass the ball,

Some people may think that all an author does is sit at home, dreaming up stories, hanging out with the voices in her head.

We’re still playing football here in Minnesota. In fact, today is our Section Finals. Three more games after this, and we win the state championship. (Just sayin’!)
But I’m not looking ahead to that. I’m looking behind, to see what we accomplished.
My middle son started playing football in 5th grade – way behind other kids in other schools because we simply didn’t have a football program at that time.
I’ve been travelling a lot this spring in between writing Duchess, my final Daughters of Fortune book for Summerside/Guideposts. Duchess is about a starlet in the Golden Era of the Silver Screen, the 1930s, and I’ve been furiously researching everything from MGM, Warner Brothers, Irving Thalberg, Joan Crawford, Jean Harlow, Clark Gable and generally all things iconic Hollywood.
