I know, I know–long time no hear. I’ve been head down, working on a story! (Oh, I can’t wait to tell you ALLL about it—it features one of the Kingston brothers from Alaska. His name is Ranger, and he’s all cool headed and serious until the woman he loves goes missing…more on that later!)
But, last night, I finished said novel. I stood up, put my hands in the air and sang We are the Champions!
My husband said, “Oh good. Let me introduce myself. I’m your husband. The guy who orders you pizza and gets you groceries.”
“Hey,” I said. “You’re cute. Want to go out for dinner?”
So, we went out. (This is me with book hair.)
But that’s the way it is when I’m writing—I am NOT a multitasker. I’m a one-at-a-time tasker. I focus hard on something until I reach a benchmark, then move onto the next item.
Like hanging out with friends. (Here’s me with my high school buddies a couple weeks ago! Epic fun and I didn’t work on my book for 5 whole days!)
When I’m writing, it’s sort of like I’ve been underwater for a loooong time, and then suddenly, I pop my head up and say…hey look! It’s the sun!
And then…what’s going on?
So…what’s going on?
Ruby Jane is out in AUDIO BOOK! I know, I know—it took FOREVEH. Audible had a few hiccups, well, anyway, SHE IS WORTH THE WAIT. Narrated by the amazing James L. Rubart, RJ brings home the Marshall Family series….
And then…well, there’s a storyline that continues, in The Way of the Brave. And I’ve noticed that WOTB is in Kindle Unlimited! Whoot! So, if you’re enrolled, you can read it for FREE.
There’s another Deep Haven book on the horizon! OOOH, I love this modern day Hatfields and McCoys story about the town Fire Chief (Peter Dahlquist ) who is stuck between his two warring families when a spitfire EMT comes to town…and he has to pick sides. If you love Deep Haven, this story is the perfect summer read. Preorder NOW at only $4.99! Find CRAZY FOR YOU here!
REMBRANDT! I’ve had a few emails from readers wondering who David James Warren is. Well, it’s me, my son David, and James L. Rubart. We put our heads together to produce a time travel detective series. I wrote the books, Jim narrated them, and David did all the in-between parts. I’m just so grateful for the great reviews!
Book 3,Sticks and Stone hits the shelves on June 1—and right now is only $3.99 (preorder price). The ENTIRE series releases this year…so now is a great time to get caught up before book 4 comes out in August!
Finally—and this is the BEST…I have a new book on my kindle—To Save a King by Rachel Hauck. Beach read, here I come! It’s about a woman who runs a farm for rescued animals who comes across a Prince who needs saving. Love it!! Check it out here!
Hope you have had a fabulous weekend and that wherever you are, the sun is shining.
