Posting on a Tuesday today! I promise I have a good reason for it (pictures to come next week), but let’s just say that a certain package of joy and goodness showed up in the world, and I had to drop everything and get on a plane. Stay tuned for those adorable pictures in the next newsletter! 
Also, apparently, I need to switch the newsletter day to Tuesday for reasons (mostly to do with my lovely assistant’s maternity leave). But hopefully, it gives you more time to read it and not miss any of the upcoming weekend specials in the SMWF store. 
I mentioned how cold it was in Florida last week, right? This is me at an awesome local restaurant that plays live blues music…I refused to eat inside. Because…FLORIDA. But apparently, I look like I’m in Minnesota. Please, oh please Florida, come back to us…
That didn’t stop us from some great fun at the Frogleg festival. (Note, I did not eat any frog legs…I’m not that brave!)
Okay, in fairness, I’ve tried plenty of new foods, like grilled squid on a stick. (This was my choice at the local blues place…calamari and cheese curds!) I’m more about the company and the adventures of a new place.

And one of my favorite places to hang out is Alaska! Which is why I set my next series there. Of course, it has strong rescue-type heroes and brave heroines. (My children are all, “do you have to have a super hero in every book?” Um, yeah.) Each story features a different member of the Alaska Air One Rescue team.
