Can’t believe the month of August is over! What. Happened? Although in MN, we have One more Epic Weekend before the school year starts, in IOWA, where Bubby lives, her school started two weeks ago.
So we had one last week of Summer Fun at MayMay’s house. We went to the zoo, the park, read stories and hung out at the Mall of America for a day.
Since Bubby, at age 6, doesn’t drive yet, HER MOM had to accompany her to the MayMay fun. No one was more excited than my dog, Jubal to see her.
He isn’t shy about how he feels about Sarah. He LOOOVES her.
When Jubal wants to tell you something, he doesn’t hold back.

…Can I offer a book recommendation?
I used to be a huge fan of singular, long-running heroine series (I’m looking at you, Patricia Cornwall’s Kay Scarpetti, and the late Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Millhone). And I’m a huge fan of Lee Child’s Reacher, and Jack Carr’s James Reece. But I’m always on the hunt for a heroine who I can really identify with, a story that is CLEAN but also GRIPPING, FAST-PACED.
I HAVE FOUND IT.
Meet Kenna Banbury. Ex-FBI turned Private Investigator, and the heroine of the new long-running series by USA Today best-selling author Lisa Phillips. Kenna has BAGGAGE. REGRETS. But most of all a very good reason to track down a serial killer in the town she once escaped. I LOVED this story. Kenna was relatable, the story gripping and I can see a long-burn love interest rising from the pages. Most of all, it’s the kind of book I can add to my shelf (and make space for more!)
